Simulated Game Shooting
Manor Farm Rodbourne is situated in the gently rolling countryside of North Wiltshire close to Malmesbury, and for some 30 years has operated a small family game shoot. Our simulated days intend to replicate this ethos. We offer a day where every gun will enjoy plenty and varied shooting on each drive, but not thousands of clays over mega steep valleys. By keeping it as close to the real thing as possible the number of guns will remain at 10 maximum, although we can organise days for a smaller number, (min 6). At Rodbourne we use Flurry Launcher traps which will not show the same clay twice but a more varied realistic, "bird", throwing midi clays for long distances at impressive speeds.

We offer 4 drives of up to 30 minutes each with two guns sharing a peg, swapping half way through and loading for each other. Beware of hot barrels!

Because we use easily portable Flurry Launcher traps we can also come to you if you have suitable ground. Whether you are a family group or a group of friends on your own shoot. We are very flexible and can tailor anything to suit your needs. Please contact us for more info.

Ben Scott Thomas a member of the Association of Professional Shooting Instructors is available to offer instruction during the day and is also available for in-field instruction and private shooting lessons.

Typical Simulated Day:
09.00 Guns arrive at Manor House for bacon rolls, tea & coffee.
10.00 Set off.
10.15 Guns on pegs for first of two drives.
Break for Refreshments.
11.45 Further two drives.
14.00 Lunch at a celebrated local pub

Private tuition and in-field instruction
Growing up in rural Dorset I shot my first pheasant with a .410 when I was eleven years old; probably more by luck than design, but I was hooked.
Now, as a member of the Association of Professional Shooting Instructors I am available to coach both novice and experienced shots on an estate near Malmesbury and I offer in-field instruction and loading.
I particularly enjoy teaching teenagers and helping them improve. I do this by encouragement and by ensuring it’s a fun process, all revolving around safety.
I am friendly, professional, patient and discrete and my approach to life is to have as much fun as possible.

Family Days

Throughout the summer we will be organising parent/children days where families can experience simulated game shooting in a safe, un-pressured and relaxed environment at a very special price of £150 for two.
This affords parents the opportunity to introduce their children to game shooting or just to pick up from their first few clay lessons.
